It can be hard to stay positive on a daily basis, let alone in a negative situation. When we focus on the negative, it actually makes the situation much worse. The good news is there are ways we can remind ourselves to stay positive despite situations, by asking ourselves these 8 questions.
Is it worth getting upset over?
What can I learn from this situation?
Am I overthinking/overreacting to the situation?
What is positive that I can take away from this situation?
How can I learn from this situation to become a better person?
Can I influence this situation in a positive way?
How can I see the situation with love/acceptance?
What can I do in the moment to feel better about the situation?
Taking a negative and turning it to a positive, doesn't happen overnight, and takes practice. When we are mindful and aware of our thoughts and feelings we are better able to cope with situations whether positive or negative. Challenge yourself to choose to see and be positive even when situations aren't ideal, because changing our mindsets helps to change the outcome in any situation.
